There will be a reading featuring Jaye Bartell, Nicole Wallace, Leah Sophia Dworkin, and Evan Gill Smith.
About the readers:
Jaye Bartell was born in Massachusetts, has lived in Asheville, NC and Buffalo, NY, and currently lives in NYC. He releases music through Sinderlyn Records, including Loyalty (2015) and Light Enough (2016), and In a Time of Trouble a Wild Exultation (2017). He was especially active with poetry in Asheville and Buffalo, during which times he released several books independently and through House Press.
Nicole Wallace is a poet, musician, and Managing Director of The Poetry Project. She is currently at work on a chapbook manuscript, WAASAMOWIN and is a member of the Brooklyn-based Anishinaabe women's hand drumming group Nishnaabekwewag Negamonid.
Leah Sophia Dworkin lives in New York, NY where she is currently working on Hey Whitefish, a collection of short stories. She's an assistant editor at Conjunctions and holds an MFA in Fiction from Columbia University.
Evan Gill Smith’s poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in Washington Square Review, Prelude, Horsethief, and No Dear. He produces poetry videos for the seriesPoeta on 8-Ball TV and also performs in various musical projects. He lives in Brooklyn and teaches writing at Rutgers University.
