About the Workshop:
This poetry workshop will investigate dreams. Dreams are an experience of sensations and images while you are in REM sleep. They are also what we hope and strive for in life, ambitions and ideals. There are dreams we consciously reach for and dreams that bob below the surface at night. What do you dream of? What do you wish for? In this workshop participants will bridge sleeping and waking dream lives through poetry using poetry as a malleable dream space. We will discuss, write and share.
About the Facilitator:
Nina Oteria is a poet from Raleigh, North Carolina. She received her BA in Religion from Wake Forest University. Nina writes about sight, perception, nature, and being a black woman. She is currently an MFA candidate at Pratt Institute working on her first book. She lives in Harlem.
Suggested admission for this event is $10. Pay what you can; No one is turned away for lack of funds.
